Honda Classic

In this weekly feature we will list our top (8) expert picks and (2) dark horse picks for the current week's PGA Tour event.

We invite you all to join us in participating in the 2015 Fantasy Golf League hosted by MyGolfSpy.com at Yahoo Fantasy Sports.

This week is more difficult to pick than most. Condseiring that many of the best European players are making their 2015 debut this week and many of the top American players traditionally take this week off.

1. RORY McILROY

RORY McILROY

Making his first start on the PGA Tour in 2015, Rory McIlroy is currently #1 in the World Golf Ranking. A runner up here last year and the 2012 champion, McIlroy will be everyones pick to win this week at the Honda Classic.

2. SERGIO GARCIA

SERGIO GARCIA

Sergio Garcia was in perfect position to win heading down the stretch last week at Riviera, and although a bogey-bogey finish led him to a T-4 finish, his game looked really sharp. Couple his recent performance with his track record at PGA National and his chances of winning look really good this week.

3. JUSTIN ROSE

JUSTIN ROSE

Coming off of a missed cut at the Farmers Insurance Open, Justin Rose is currently the #8 ranked golfer in the world. Rose has not posted lower than a T-5 in his last three starts at the Honda Classic and he has been one of the steadiest players on Tour. Leading me to believe that he probably be in the mix on Sunday afternoon.

4. LEE WESTWOOD

LEE WESTWOOD

Currently #27 in the World Golf Rankings, Lee Westwood is another player making his first Tour start of 2015 this week at the Honda Classic. This is a guy that you never count out. Westwood has a knack for being around the lead on Sunday and he has also posted three Top-10 finishes in his last five starts at PGA National.

5. GRAHAM DELAET

GRAHAM DELAET

Graham DeLaet has been playing well on the West Coast Swing. He has already posted two Top 10 finishes in 2015, one of them being a T-8 last week at Riviera. Couple that fact with the last time he played the Honda in 2013 he finished in a T-9.

6. KEEGAN BRADLEY

KEEGAN BRADLEY

I am honestly a little shocked to find out that Keegan is currently sitting outside the Top 30 in the world golf rankings. However, he climbed his way back to #31 with a T-4 at the Northern Trust Open. Also, Bradley has a great track record at the Honda never finishing lower than T-12 in the past three years.

7. SANG MOON BAE

SANG MOON BAE

Currently #4 in the FedEx Cup Standings, Bae also had a really good chance to win last week at Riviera. Keep your eye on him to keep that momentum going into this week at the Honda Classic.

8. DUSTIN JOHNSON

DUSTIN JOHNSON

Dustin Johnson is the hottest player on Tour at the moment. Finishing in a T-4 at the AT&T at Pebble Beach and a T-2 last week at the Northern Trust Open. Currently the 15th ranked golfer in the world is looking to make a statement in 2015 and a move into the winners circle this week at the Honda Classic.

DARK HORSE PICKS

1. GRAEME MCDOWELL

GRAEME MCDOWELL

Also making his first PGA tour start of 2015, McDowell had back-to-back T9 finishes at this tournament in 2012 and 2013.

2. PAUL CASEY

PAUL CASEY

Paul casey is a bit of a wild card this week, not a Dark Horse, but a wild card. He really impressed me last week when he was able to play his way into a playoff at one of the toughest golf courses on Tour, where Casey eventually finished T-2. He may be starting to play like he used to prior to his injuries and he has played well at PGA National in the past.
